Who is Kate Holden?

Katherine E. F. Holden is a freelance sequential artist, illustrator and sometimes a designer based way up in Ulverston, Cumbria (in the North of England). She is mad about comics.

Kate is a founding member of UK small press group IndieManga, a former Tokyopop Rising Stars of Manga finallist and Manga Jiman Competition winner.

Her Illustration and Design clients include Nintendo, Otakunews, Climb Magazine, GoUlverston.com and LMB Design. She has run manga workshops for Cumbria County Council, local youth groups, NACRO and BBC Blast.

She has a BA in joint honours Japanese and English Lit, and an MA in Video Games Design.

When she's not drawing or working (which often involves drawing anyway) she enjoys rock climbing, martial arts, cosplay and playing RPGs.
