Who is Kate Holden?

Katherine E. F. Holden is a freelance sequential artist, illustrator and sometimes a designer based way up in Ulverston, Cumbria (in the North of England). She has a hilarious accent and is really short, but please try not to hold that against her.

Kate is a founding member of UK small press group IndieManga, a former Tokyopop Rising Stars of Manga finallist and Manga Jiman Competition winner. She has run manga workshops for Cumbria County Council, local youth groups, NACRO and BBC Blast.

She has a BA in joint honours Japanese and English Lit, and an MA in Video Games Design.

When she's not drawing or working (which often involves drawing anyway) she enjoys rock climbing, martial arts and playing RPGs.
